As part of the 2025 Sustainable Infrastructure Development Symposium South Africa (SIDSSA), Infrastructure South Africa hosted a powerful series of eight Ministerial Panels, each tackling core issues driving the continent’s infrastructure agenda. These discussions offered insights into the country’s priorities, challenges, and collaborative solutions across sectors.
Panel 1: Supporting Infrastructure Development through the Medium-Term Development Plan

The Director-General Edward Mosuwe moderated a panel discussion on Supporting South African Infrastructure Development through the Medium-Term Development Plan (MTDP).
The MTDP can serve as a strategic blueprint for long-term infrastructure delivery. Government outlined alignment mechanisms and accountability structures to drive efficient implementation.
Panel 2: Powering Africa’s Digital Economy

Moderated by renowned broadcaster Clement Manyathela, this panel unpacked the opportunities presented by accelerated digital infrastructure investment. Ministers and sector leaders spoke to the urgent need for connectivity as a driver of economic participation and innovation.
